ISMPP Committees and Task ForcesInterested in joining a Committee for the 2025-2026 committee year? Apply today through our Committee Volunteer Gateway. Sign up by July 2, 2025!ISMPP’s Committees and Task Forces play a vital role in advancing medical publication and communication practices worldwide. These volunteer-led groups are formed to address emerging trends, challenges, and industry needs, ensuring that professionals stay informed and equipped with best practices. By participating, volunteers gain the opportunity to collaborate with peers, exchange knowledge, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen ISMPP’s member community and the broader field. ISMPP members can express their interest in volunteering during the ISMPP Committee Volunteer Drive held in May/June each year. Committee qualifications vary, and volunteers must meet at least one listed requirement to be eligible for participation. Volunteer opportunities under ISMPP's CMPP™ Program are only open to those with the ISMPP CMPP™ credential, and the ISMPP CMPP™ Certification Board has a separate nomination and election process. Most ISMPP committees run in a yearly cycle starting in August/September, except for Meeting Program Committees and the Certification Board and Recertification Committee. ISMPP's Task Forces are convened to work on defined objectives for a limited duration when a need arises in the profession or practices. Task Force membership may be solicited through a Volunteer Drive or members may be identified by selecting individuals with knowledge and expertise in the topic area. Currently active Task Forces are not recruiting new members during the 2025-2026 Volunteer Drive. ISMPP Committee StructureISMPP's Volunteer Committees are the foundation of our mission, strategically structured into five dynamic pillars: Medical Communications, Medical Publications, Collaborations & Outreach, Education, and Credentialing. Each pillar encompasses dedicated committees, driving initiatives that align with their unique objectives. Explore ISMPP Committees and their objectives and gain insight into their impactful goals below. Also learn about current ISMPP Task Forces and their objectives. View the Committee Handbook for information about serving on an ISMPP Committee. Each year, volunteers must submit a Conflict of Interest and Responsibility form in order to serve on an ISMPP committee or task force. |
