 ISMPP Certified Medical Publication Professional™

The ISMPP certification program offers medical publication professionals an opportunity to earn the Certified Medical Publication Professional™ (CMPP™) credential.

The ISMPP CMPP™ credential certifies the following:

  • Expertise as a medical publication professional

  • Proficiency in good publication practices

  • Commitment to ethical and transparent data dissemination standards

  • Leadership in upholding and fostering integrity and excellence in medical publication

Once earned, the ISMPP CMPP™ credential is valid for 5 years (for 3 years for those who certified or recertified in 2019 through 2021) . Upon expiration, certificants must recertify by earning CE credits or retaking the CMPP Examination.

Our testing partner, Pearson Vue has expanded our access to over 6,600 testing centers worldwide!  To find a testing center near you, click here.  You may also opt to take the exam online via OnVUE, Pearson's remote, proctored testing technology.

CMPP Examination Application:

Please note that the link will open the ISMPP member login page, and if you are not a current ISMPP member you will be prompted to pay a non-member administrative fee that includes a year of ISMPP membership.* Once this fee is paid, you will automatically be redirected to the CMPP exam application in LearningBuilder.

*Although you may opt out of your ISMPP membership, the non-member administrative fee is required and non-refundable. Renewing your ISMPP membership yearly is recommended, as it provides many opportunities to earn recertification credits, including free monthly ISMPP U webinars and access to member archives, which contain pre-approved ISMPP U recordings and conference sessions.
